About 3 months ago, I set out to complete this 1 Million Steps in 100 Days challenge, and I did! I definitely had my ups and downs, days where I did not meet a daily 10,000 minimum, and also days I far exceeded it.I have had a tear in my left Achilles tendon, so that made it difficult at times too. But I was determined to prove to myself that I could do it. I am proud of myself!
One of the most important aspects besides having a reliable way to track those steps was holding myself accountable weekly. I would share my results on social media with my family and friends. And so I felt that extra motivation to make up for a less than stellar week the following one and so on. I had a lot of support, “likes”, and cheers along the way. And now it has empowered me to continue to incorporate my stepping routine level into my permanent lifestyle. Stepping does a body good!
(I may have to take it easy for a little bit to help my injury heal but I plan on bouncing back stronger than ever!)
