At both our office & store this month, we’ve held our kick-off events for another year of getting TrimminSlimm! We had delicious refreshments on hand using Shaklee’s Cinch products in ways you might not have tried yet. So I am going to include those recipes here. This year look for more posts with healthy recipes in general. (If your new to our blog, be sure to start with our posts from January 2011 in the Blog Archive to follow all our progressive tips.) Enjoy!
1. Chocolate Surprise
Take 1 Cinch Chocolate Decadence Snack Bar. Heat in microwave for 10 seconds. Spread 1 tablespoon of almond butter on top.
2. Peanut Butter Yogurt Treat
In a small bowl, break 1 Cinch Peanut Butter Crunch Snack Bar into small pieces. In a separate, small serving dish, scoop 6 oz. of fat-free vanilla yogurt (or greek yogurt or 4 oz. of frozen yogurt) into the center of the dish and sprinkle with peanut butter bar pieces. Garnish with 1/2 tsp. mini, semisweet chocolate chips.
3. Raspberry Chocolate Dream Shake
Combine 2 scoops or 1 packet of Cinch Chocolate Shake Mix, 1 cup of fresh or frozen unsweetened raspberries, 1 cup non-fat milk (or almond milk or low-fat soy milk), and 4-6 ice cubes in blender and blend until smooth.
4. Pina Colada
Combine 2 scoops or 1 packet of Cinch Vanilla Shake Mix, 4 oz. of fresh, chopped pineapple, 1 cup non-fat milk (or almond milk or low-fat soy milk), 1/2 tsp. coconut extract, and 4-6 ice cubes in blender and blend until creamy.
5. Pom-Berry Morning Smoothie
Combine 2 scoops or 1 packet of Cinch Vanilla Shake Mix, 1/2 cup of fresh strawberries, 1 cup non-fat milk (or almond milk or low-fat soy milk), 1 stick Cinch Energy Tea Mix Pomegranate, and 4-6 ice cubes in blender and blend until well mixed. Garnish with a fresh strawberry.
6. Holiday Shake
Combine 2 scoops or 1 packet of Cinch Vanilla Shake Mix, 1/4 cup of light eggnog, 3/4 cup non-fat milk (or almond milk or low-fat soy milk), 1/4 tsp. rum-flavored extract, and 4-6 ice cubes in blender and blend until frothy. Sprinkle with a dash of nutmeg and cinnamon.
What other homemade recipes have you come up with for the other Cinch products? Do you add a little flavored non-dairy creamer to your Cafe Latte Shake Mix? Have you tried mixing in other fruit, like blackberries or blueberries with flax seeds and honey? Do you like your Energy Tea Mix Unsweetened icy cold or steaming hot? I love experimenting with them all!
