Skip 1/2 The Bloody Mary

Just take 3 of the ingredients from a Bloody Mary and you’ve got a healthy veggie juice! I’ve been making this for my mom lately in her Hamilton Beach Juicer since celery (the main focus) is one of those wonderful vegetables that helps cleanse the body.

“One medium stalk of celery has just 6 calories, almost 1 gram of fiber and 15 percent of the daily value for vitamin K. It contains small amounts of a number of nutrients you need to stay healthy, including vitamins A, C and E, folate, potassium and manganese.

Celery also contains apiin, an antioxidant that may help scavenge the free radicals in your liver, kidneys, brain and lungs and promote the activity of natural enzymes in your body that also support your fight against the cell-damaging chemicals, according to study published in Food and Function in 2014.”

Add some squeezed lemon juice and black pepper and there ya go! Think of this as a “Reverse Bloody Mary” and instead of taxing your detox organs with alcohol, you’d be assisting them.
