Reset to Amazing Week 7: halotherapy

We’re going into Week 7 (again) of our Team RLEI Reset Program to Live Amazing that restarts every 100 days. This time around we are sharing weekly tips on how you can improve your score and health numbers. (Take the Shaklee HEALTHPRINT for your wellness assessment.) Follow along and transform your health! There’s many reasons people long to live by the ocean. Sea air really is good for the health. The bracing climate by the sea is especially beneficial to the respiratory organs and the skin, but also improves circulation and strengthens the body’s defenses. The reason sea air is so healthy is that it contains tiny droplets of sea water enriched with salt, iodine, magnesium and trace elements, which are scattered into the air by wind and waves. Known as surf-generated aerosols, these stimulate immune reactions by the skin and respiratory organs. A period of inhalation will result in the loosening of the mucus in the respiratory tracts, which makes coughing easier and so helps clear airways. Doctors particularly recommend the kind of climate therapy you get by the sea for asthmatics and people with allergies or skin problems. It could also be called “ocean therapy” in a way, which includes other mental, spiritual, and physical benefits like calming walks on the beach or challenging jogs in the sand. If you can’t get to a beach anytime soon, check out this alternative of salt therapy centers and clinics that are popping up everywhere: http://healthland.time.com/2010/11/05/halotherapy-is-salt-treatment-for-real/.
